Working alongside the City of Steamboat Springs, the Steamboat II Metropolitan District will be instituting a new watering schedule that will be in place indefinitely as per the City’s new ordinance adopted in 2020. The object is water conservation and the goal is to reduce household water by 10%. According to the City of Steamboat Springs, about 30% of treated water is applied outdoors to lawns and gardens.
The watering schedule is the same that has been implemented during drought years and is based on the last digit of your address. Even addresses can water on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Odd addresses can water Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
